This panel addresses one of the most critical levers for scaling venture capital in CEE: unlocking institutional capital. While High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and family offices remain important players - often operating behind the scenes-the long-term sustainability of the region’s VC landscape hinges on the greater involvement of institutional LPs, such as pension funds, insurance firms, banks, and endowments. With the CEE venture ecosystem maturing and producing more competitive GPs, the next frontier is winning over institutional LPs. This session will explore barriers, strategic frameworks, and case studies - from France’s Tibi Initiative to its emerging adaptation in Poland, Innovate PL-as models for unlocking institutional LP capital. The panel will identify practical actions that GPs, LPs, and policymakers can take to grow the institutional share of the VC capital base across Europe.
