The best way to predict your future is to create it. For VCs it starts with building a team of people who know how to master the VC game. Understanding unique features of the fund’s life cycle, investment process, and building relations with startups is quite challenging. This is why decided to fill the gap with VCLeaders by educating the next generation of VC investors in CEE who will have a deep understating of their job so that our fast-growing VC ecosystem will become more global and the regional funds become equal partners for international VC players.
Barbara Sobowska, Project Co-Founder and Co-ordinator
Investors have been backing risky ventures since the unstoppable Marco Polo sailed in search of riches. They were helping successive waves of entrepreneurialism all over the world – from canal and railway companies, through intercontinental trading to tech giants of our day and age. Although the motivations of investors differed throughout time, the pursuit of commercial success has made them a major force of change in modern history of humankind.
We believe that well-prepared, resourceful investors could become a positive force of change for the CEE region by helping the next generation of our local Marco Polos. This is why we decided to set up the Venture Capital Leaders Program.
Paweł Michalski, Project Founder and Co-ordinator,
Member of the Supervisory Board at The Lesław A. Paga Foundation
We believe that the VC Leaders Academy is important to create a professional investment ecosystem in the CEE region. The upcoming challenges should be solved by a new generation of entrepreneurs backed by the investors of tomorrow. VCLeaders could help nurture these investors.

The Program is set up by the Lesław A. Paga Foundation, a recognized educational institution based in Poland and operating in the CEE region. Since 2003 the Foundation has been helping young leaders to realize their potential and encourages them to actively contribute to the shape of the CEE region’s future in areas such as capital markets, energy and healthcare.
